L’exposition ‘I Spy With My Little Eye’ réunit des travaux de dessin, d’installation, de peinture et de photographie liés aux convictions intériorisées de notre subconscient. Comment et jusqu’à quel point influence t-il notre perception du monde?
Les artistes présentés mettent en évidence différents points de vue, jouant avec nos préjugés, nous baladant parfois dans quelques subconsciences ou lui préfèrant ailleurs cette échappatoire inattendue que devient la réalité.

Marijn Akkermans nous fait entrevoir comme par le trou de la serrure des dessins surréalistes et parfois cauchemardesques, Wafae Ahalouch el Keriasti met en relief ironiquement nos images acquises et nos préjugés, tandisque Awoiska van der Molen semble vouloir s’échapper de la subjectivité de par sa recherche photographique empreinte de lieux à la neutralité troublante.












The exhibition ‘I Spy With My Little Eye’ shows works of drawing, installation, painting and photography in relation to internalized believes that exist in our subconsious. How and to which degree does this play part in our perception of the world?
The exhibiting artists show different positions and either expose our pre-judgements, linger in the subconsious or want to escape from it to seek solitary ground.
Marijn Akkermans shows surrealistic and sometimes nightmerrish drawings that seem to sprout from the subconsious, Wafae Ahalouch el Keriasti exposes our collective believes and pre-judgements while Awoiska van der Molen seems to want to escape from subjectivity by her search for places that seem withdrawn and far away from the worlds superficiality.












In I Spy With My Little Eye laten drie kunstenaars werk zien dat speelt met de geïnternaliseerde opvattingen en overtuigingen in ons onderbewustzijn. Hoe en in welke mate spelen deze opvattingen een rol in de perceptie van de wereld?
Het tentoongestelde werk legt vooroordelen bloot, gaat op in het onderbewuste of wil er juist aan ontsnappen. Wafae Ahalouch el Keriasti legt op ironische wijze onze vooringenomen collectieve vertuigingen bloot, Marijn Akkermans speelt met gevoelens van geborgenheid en toont dit in surrealistische en soms nachtmerrieachtige tekeningen die raken aan het onderbewuste en Awoiska van der Molen tracht te ontsnappen aan subjectiviteit door te zoeken naar plekken ver verwijderd van de vluchtige buitenwereld.
